Time to Relax. A bit of REJUVENATION!

Dear YOU, You are not relaxing! Are you the type of personality that finds it hard to relax? Or the type that relaxes too much and procrastinates on your commitments? (The first commitment is to one’s self, and one’s higher powers.) We all need down time to re-energize that ever-ready bunny battery known as our body. We all need time to relax, a bit of rejuvenation!

First of all, let me share some SIMPLE, AFFORDABLE and POWER-FILLED tips to care for yourself. I feel this helps prevent sickness such as colds, and it also helps restore vital minerals back to our bodies by feeding our muscles and supporting our overall health. Well, you ask. What is this? What could this be?

Drumroll, please…

A hot bath filled with a good quality mineral salt like Epsom salt: http://amzn.to/2qbmPG2 *, the benefits are amazing. Epsom salt baths help to relieve stress, reduce muscle aches, help muscle and nerves function properly, increase insulin efficacy, relieve constipation, and my favorite one, ELIMINATES TOXINS FROM THE BODY! We are filled with toxins from the air we breathe to the aspirins we take. There are far more benefits for mineral salt: you can utilize in the garden, around your home and even for beauty regimes. (Just Google the benefits of mineral salts.)

Here are a few steps for this amazing self-care/self-preservation time we are taking:

  1. Make the water as hot as you can.
  2. Add 1-2 heaped cups of Epsom salts to your bathtub.
  3. Soak for 15-20 minutes. (I soak longer if I am feeling a cold coming on.)
  4. Make sure you are well hydrated and drink plenty of water while you are soaking.
  5. Create your oasis:
    1. Close the door so no one can disturb you.
    2. Burn candles.
    3. Play soft music.
    4. This is YOUR TIME, no guilt here!

Remember, this is for you and no one else, so leave your phone and other electronic devices elsewhere.

At one point, I was experiencing really bad cramps in my feet, so I filled up my tub to my ankles, added the salts and soaked for about 10 minutes. Cramps were gone. Another thing I like to add is essential oils, and I also make homemade salt scrubs to use in the shower. (Reach out if you would like me to send you one).

Our skin is the largest organ in our body

And loves to go to work for us by absorbing. We can only add back to our bodies so much through nutrition and vitamins; we need more due to lack of our food. Now, what happens if you don’t have the luxury of a bathtub or the time to do this? I have the answer.

A mineral spray: http://amzn.to/2p74V5T *. Here is how to utilize this: after showering you spray 30-40 sprays all over your body, let dry and then move on with your routine. Easy peasy- and the benefits are amazing. This company sends you an eBook, with directions on how to utilize these amazing benefits for yourself.

Why am I writing this today?

water

Because so many people on social media are talking about self-care, scheduling massages, manicures and such (hey, go for it, I love these as well) but enough of the scheduling outside of you and your home. We need daily self-care (that’s what I’ll call it for now).

Finally, my last thought/question here: WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR? Do it now, today, not on Monday! TODAY!

Happy soaking!

Peace & love,

Kim
