Love after Love
My all-time favorite poem I would love to share with you. My gift to you from my heart.
I was going through a nine-month journey for women here locally in Detroit, so powerful and beautiful. It was a beginning for me to begin my journey of forgiving and healing. I loved this so much I became one of the co-facilitators which meant another 7-9 nine months of training. A big commitment to me and other women! One of the many “parts” that I was serving to the women going through this journey was to cite this poem to them. This became far more than just a poem, it became a mirror for me. Again we live in a social media society that women struggle with self-care. I mean self-care far deeper than just massages, manicures and pedicures (even doing that is great). Self-care of spending with yourself and talking love language to yourself.
We live in a social media society that I constantly read women struggling with self-care. Now I talking self-care far deeper than just massages, manicures and pedicures (even doing that is great). Self-care of spending time with yourself and talking love language to yourself. Self-preservation.
Sit, Feast on Your Beautiful and Amazing Life!
I hope you take something from this for yourself and please share with me what that is. You totally deserve this!
Peace &Love,
Kim
Great advice for everyone, take care of yourself.
David, you are a smart man!
Beautiful Kim. Self awareness or recognition is probably the highest form of self love there is. Thank you.
Sheila, Thank you! Self-awareness is the highest form of all! It is the place to begin.
So many of us get caught up on that hamster wheel of success and it overtakes the person who needs the care in the first place, ourselves. Been there, done it, and nearly died in the process. Today my life is so much different, another chance to start over xx
Kate, Yes another chance to “start-over” of learning from the lessons given to you, to be better, grow and lead. Every day is a self-care day, or as I like to say, self-preserve!
Beautiful post Kim, I know for me that my healing began when I opened my heart and was brave enough to look into it as well as into the mirror. xx thank you for sharing.
Michelle, you are nothing short of leading this! You walk your talk and your feelings. You practice what you are preaching (so to say) that is why your girls are amazing! xo
